Welcome to Meet The Biz!
Networking - Workshoping - Diversity

Workshops
Each class will explore different areas of acting, including but not limited to: scene study, monologues, improv, connection, cold reading and learning from the pros.

Networking
Every month Meet The Biz brings together top notch people in the entertainment industry. These workshops are not just for actors, they are for everyone in the industry to meet with and to learn from one another.

Diversity
Meet The Biz is looking to make acceptance of diversity common place. By bringing the producer, director, actor, writer, editor, technician, casting director, agent, teacher, life coach, ability, disability together, we become more well rounded as artists.

Meet The Creator: David Zimmerman

David Zimmerman has been coaching actors and putting together workshops for almost a decade. As a personal coach, he has been hired by production companies such as FX's ground breaking series NIP/TUCK and the Weinstein Company's feature film, UNKNOWN.

As a Casting Director his credits include the Showtime pilots and Star Price Productions "PROJECT X" and "SHADOW POINT", as well as the popular series "PENN & TELLER'S BULLSHIT." He has also cast feature films including: "FIGHTING WORDS," which the Los Angeles reviews called his cast "solid and diverse." Working with Joey Travolta and Inclusion Films on the upcoming film "SPUD" was a project close to his heart. Zimmerman has also enjoyed working with Limetime TV, Mark Wolper Productions, and Time Life Productions.

You can also see him on the screen as an actor in such films as "HIDE", "MEET THE FOCKERS", and "PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS."

On October 14, 2007, David was honored at the 25 Annual Media Access Awards at Universal Studios Globe Theatre with the prestigious MEDIA ACCESS AWARD.

Index Pie Meet The Testimonials
what the students and teachers are saying

"David is an extremely insightful teacher who can find actors strengths and help them discover where they may need improvement. He uses a variety of techniques and exercises to help students connect to the internal emotional core, freeing them to explore the character and environment. He is very respected for his efforts and involvement with PWD's (performers with disabilities). Regardless of the physical, mental or emotional barrier, David helps student's overcome obstacles through his compassionate understanding of the human condition. Not only does he provide great teaching, he also goes above and beyond by giving his students support, opportunity and friendship."

-Tobias Forrest (actor,singer,PWD)

"David Zimmerman creates a safe atmosphere for his students. They are eager to learn from the experience of industry professionals. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing my experience with them and the feedbacks were very rewarding."
